Our Anywhere Learning Team caters for students in Years 7 to 10 and provides a unique and highly individualised education and learning experience for those who require extra assistance to transition to a campus .
This multi-disciplinary team works with students in their homes, via online mediums, or in common community areas to assist them, not only in their educational journey, but in their engagement with society and the world around them until such time that the student is able to attend and re-engage with schooling on campus.
This team has been created to support students who are falling between the cracks and are unable to be well supported even by a Special Assistance School model. These students are those who need something innovative, unique, and bespoke, outside of a school setting to get them back on track and moving towards the future they desire.
The Anywhere Learning Team includes students who, for a multitude of reasons, are unsafe to attend Arethusa campuses (or any school) on site. It includes students who are too anxious to leave their homes, students who are unwell and unable to leave their homes for either short-term or longer-term periods. In addition, students who need a radically flexible timetable and learning plan to re-engage them with learning as a whole are catered for.
The goal of the Anywhere Learning Team is to plan with the student and their caregivers around what that student needs and wants, however that might look. This may mean linking the student with a program or service that isn’t part of our college, but that is in the best interests of the student. This may also mean enrolling the student for a short time only until they are confident and comfortable enough to return to mainstream schooling.
