Open a classic! Read it together, start a family book club. Present to the family what you liked or didn’t about the book.
Ask them to write something every day, how they are feeling, what they have been doing, something about themselves.
It might be cooking or sewing, learning another language, photography, changing a tyre, writing the shopping list or balancing finances.
Teach them how to weed, to plant encourage an understanding of nature and where our food comes from. Start a worm farm or compost heap.
Let them take a bike apart and try put it back together, build a bird house, or a planter box for the garden.
Give to a local charity, buy groceries for neighbours, write to the elderly in a local nursing home.
Find new ways to ways to connect, write letters to grandparents, ask them questions, find out their favourite memories, what their childhood look like.
Listen to Ted Talks together as a family and discuss. Like a book club only visual.
Walk, ride, dance, play sports, play with the animals, engage in yoga, whatever it is, do it together.
There are so many virtual tours you can do online. Tour the Tate, Yosemite National Park, NASA. Legoland.
Play board games, Nurf wars, balloon fights, create obstacle courses and challenges. Having fun and laughing is so important.
Create a dream board, paint, bake, a music video, a movie.
